A Flourishing Tradition
The brothers Luigi and Renzo Ghelardeschi first started growing ivy seedlings in their garden in the 1950s. The nursery kept growing and continued to expand production to meet the requests of an increasingly discerning clientele. They introduced container production alongside field cultivation, so the plants became available year-round.
Now the new generation is leading the way, as their children Leonardo, Lara, and Luca head the company towards new horizons, crossing Italy’s border to establish itself on markets throughout Europe. Innovation and tradition intertwine, keeping true to the vibrant tradition of Pistoia’s nurseries.
